Senior Medical Writer

Job Title: Senior Medical Writer
Reporting to:
Medical Director or Scientific Lead

As a Senior Medical Writer, you will be responsible for the following:


• Provide scientific input into the project strategy and develop engaging and accurate copy for selected healthcare communications projects covering scientific communications, brand communications and patient communications. These can range across a wide variety of media, including, but not limited to, digital applications, web-based projects, print materials, internal communications, storyboards, slide decks and meeting materials
• The Senior Medical Writer will also be responsible for supporting junior members of the team, either through coaching or review of their work and providing constructive criticism
• The Senior Medical Writer will participate in proposals and pitches for their accounts and/or potential new clients in their key therapy areas

Required knowledge, skills and abilities


• Existing experience within the healthcare setting, either within an agency or clinical setting, with experience of writing for different audiences
• Educated to degree or postgraduate level in life sciences or a relevant area
• Therapy area experience across 3 or 4 disease areas
• Good knowledge and understanding of the current international life sciences arena
• Ability to provide realistic ideas for projects that deliver on client’s objectives
• Experience across various channels of healthcare communications
• Ability to write accurately and creatively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet reasonable timelines
• Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities

Account Director

Job Title: Account Director

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for the following:


• Securing, retaining and growing business with an agreed set of clients to achieve sales targets set out by the joint heads of the client services team
• Oversee and manage the planning and delivery of account activities and programmes that meet client objectives, to the client’s satisfaction, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget
• Ensure that all account work is completed in accordance with processes, policies and practices
• Take an active role in new business development, contributing to and sometimes leading pitches and winning new work
• Lead and manage a team of client services personnel to deliver a portfolio of programmes for clients

Required knowledge, skills and abilities


• Good knowledge of all aspects of pharmaceutical marketing including key tactical services, including but not limited to, medical communications, live event, logistics and creative, production and digital services
• Leadership skills and the ability to influence others with perseverance, as well as the talent for leveraging the capabilities of peers, business partners and associates
• Demonstrated ability to line manage junior team members, with experience of giving annual appraisals, writing objectives and measuring performance
• Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications

• BSc in a medical or scientific subject

Senior Account Manager

Job Title: Senior Account Manager
Reporting to: A senior member of CST (SAD or above)
Team: Client Services Team

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for :

  • Work with Account Directors to oversee and manage the development and delivery of high quailty account programmes and projects that meet the strategic needs of customers.
  • Contribute to strategic direction of accounts encompassing all aspects of programme / project development through thorough knowledge of market issues, company’s and project’s overall strategic objectives.
  • Oversee contact with clients including email communication, attendance at teleconferences, face to face meetings and via telephone contact. Manage client handling skills of junior team members.
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organisation, developing strong relationships with key client contacts and senior level client stakeholders and obtain regular feedback. Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within account and develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organisation.
  • Take responsibility for all account finances, including development of account budgets, liaison for sign off, tracking of servicing levels and reporting on profitability. Ensure regular updates provided to Account Director or above.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, marketing or other relevant area.

  • Liaising with the creative and digital design team to produce visual materials such as campaign infographics and animations
