emotive.’s interactive medical education programme for ViiV Healthcare has been shortlisted for two PM Society Digital Awards; in both the HCP education and Meetings categories. This follows the news that this innovative and highly effective programme has also reached the finals of the Communiqué awards.
The PM Society Digital Awards is to be held at The Brewery on September 20th to celebrate the innovation, quality and results achieved through communications within the healthcare arena with a strong digital component. This awards event, now in its 9th year, aims to highlight the best programmes, initiatives and campaigns across a broad range of digital activities, with a particular focus on effectiveness. The emotive. programme has reached the final judging round in two categories; HCP education, training & support and Congress, meetings & events.
With decades of experience, the emotive. team is highly skilled at developing programmes that truly engage healthcare audiences. In this case, they used an innovative technology platform in a live meetings setting to involve an audience of top clinicians in a case-based approach looking at HIV care pathways. A combination of an iPad and audio visual technologies facilitated a high level of participation amongst the audience supporting discussions around best practice and ways it can be achieved. Data was captured on treatment choices and clinical intentions before and after the session and was able to demonstrate intended behavioural change amongst the group.
Delegates rated the meeting 4.5/5 and gave numerous positive comments including “I found the technology interesting and I believe it adds to the medical education”.
The HIV Franchise Manager from ViiV Healthcare said “The agency developed a highly innovative meeting format which enabled the HCPs to really engage with one another and process the clinical information. I rolled this out in Mexico and the results we saw were outstanding.”
Commenting on the news, Andrew Parry, Senior Account Director for ViiV at emotive., said: “We are delighted that our work with ViiV Healthcare has been shortlisted for these awards! The patient case programme combines key insights, scientific expertise and novel thinking to ensure optimal immersion and participation. We are thrilled with the results and the potential impact on treatment choices for people living with HIV in Mexico.”
