As part of our commitment to our company value of empowerment, we set up a Leadership Programme for the emotive leaders of tomorrow. Having so many talented individuals within our growing agency, we wanted to ensure they have the skills they need to succeed as they progress to more senior levels.
The programme is being delivered by an external leadership expert, Mark Murphy of Apodi. Mark has 30 years’ experience in people management and development and is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. The course is delivered in modules and covers topics such as defining you as a leader, managing performance, communication excellence and motivating your team.
At the start of 2019 we selected seven team members from various departments to go through our first programme, including those from Client Services, Operations, Creative and Medical. The team are currently half way through the modules and this is what Nairn, our Art Director, had to say;

At emotive, we’re dedicated to the growth of everyone and proud of this programme so each year, a new set of aspiring leaders will be enrolled. The intention is that everyone with line management responsibilities, project team oversight or senior roles will complete the four modules. By developing our own leaders, we hope to be able to fill all senior roles from internal talent pool. That’s good for everyone!
