emotive is Recognised in the Innovation Category at the PM Awards!

emotive is thrilled to have been awarded a Bronze Award at the PM Awards 2020 in the Innovation category. Amongst a strong list of seven finalists in this category, we were happy to see the Expression Days campaign for Fresenius Kabi recognised for its creativity and impact.

Expression Days is an innovative creative project which helps convey the voices of those living with chronic autoimmune diseases, through the use of art.

Autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis can have a substantial impact on people’s quality of life. Words are not always enough to communicate how people feel and so, through the use of art, we wanted to give patients the opportunity to express themselves freely, to help convey the physical and emotional impact these diseases have on everyday life.

As part of this project people living with autoimmune diseases from different countries across Europe, were asked to create a piece of art that expressed their feelings about their disease. Their work was then transformed into designs displayed on three life-sized mannequins which were placed on the booth at the EULAR congress 2019. In addition, an artist designed a fourth mannequin live on the booth by taking comments from HCPs about their conversations with patients and bringing these to life. Expression Days will be rolled out across Europe at multiple events, highlighting patient voices throughout 2020.

Account Manager, Lorna Campbell said, “Winning Bronze in the Innovation category was amazing news. It’s great to be able to return to the rest of the team in the emotive offices and share that we have received industry recognition for our creative campaign alongside seven other really strong entries. What a great start to the year ahead!”
