With work being the most common cause of stress and wellbeing decline for UK adults it’s important that we acknowledge how we cope with feeling pressure, how we react to certain situations and learn the right ways to manage our thoughts and feelings.
The wellbeing of every one of our team is very important to emotive and so today we welcomed Rebecca Durham, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, from Mindful Peak Performance to deliver a ‘Be kind to your mind’ workshop (featuring plenty of Pizza to keep the team going!)
In this session Rebecca offered simple tools that can improve wellbeing and encourage effective management of daily problems, such as proven and practical Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.
We explored how recognising and managing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours can both improve mood as well as reduce stress, and when applied these tools can enhance performance and creativity whilst strengthening our ability to cope with change and adversity.
