Last week, emotive was at the Royal Society of Medicine for the PM Society’s Graduate Day – “What can I do with my science degree?” Science students from universities across the UK attended a series of talks from experts about the pharmaceutical industry and some of the graduate careers available. Delegates learnt about “The changing world of drug development” with a focus on neurology and “How technology is changing healthcare”. There were also insights into careers in pharma sales and marketing as well as healthcare communications. Gemma, our Talent Manager, was on hand in the atrium to answer any questions on opportunities at emotive.
Our very own Rob Mackichan gave a presentation on a “Day in the life of a Senior Account Manager”, highlighting just how varied and diverse a role in client services can be. The event closed with a Q&A panel featuring a range of people working in medical communications, including Ann Gillat, emotive Medical Writer, who sat alongside Rob as final year science students asked questions about the differences between medical writing and client services.
At emotive we are passionate about enthusing & inspiring the next generation of medical communications Account Executives and Medical Writers, which is why we are excited to be fast approaching the start of our third annual graduate scheme.
