emotive awards Prize for Scientific Engagement at London school

emotive’s strategic director, Rachel Farrow, was thrilled to be able to attend the recent Stoke Newington School prize-giving event for sixth form students. There were numerous prizes for individuals who had shown either adherence to the school values or academic achievements and some amazing musical skills on show.

Four students studying science at A level were awarded prizes in the emotive Prize for Scientific Engagement. The winner of the top prize, a laptop, book tokens and a week’s work experience for summer 2020 was Ben Viles. The second prize went to Michal Kaszubski while Harry Mayes and Ayse Altun won joint third place.

Rachel Farrow said – “it was great to talk to the Sixth Form about the emotive school science bursary and the Prize for Scientific Engagement which will be running again in 2020 for the current Year 12 students. What has really struck me is the enthusiasm for the work experience element of the prize. There is genuine excitement in learning more about careers in medical communications, an area with a wealth of opportunities for science graduates. We look forward to seeing Ben at the emotive London offices later this year along with the winner of the prize from Beaconsfield High School.”
