To round off stress awareness month, emotive is pleased to announce the appointment of our first Mental Health First aider, Kate Wagstaff, Senior Account Executive.
As a global healthcare communications agency, emotive recognises that although our work is both fast-paced and exciting it can also be stressful at times. We put a huge amount of value on the wellbeing of every colleague so we didn’t hesitate to join the MHFA England initiative to train one of our team as a Mental Health First Aider.
Kate, one of our Senior Account Executives, will be undertaking a two-day course to help encourage open discussions around stress and mental health at work, and to help spot early signs of any potential issues and seek support. This latest initiative strengthens emotive’s wellbeing at work strategy and existing health and wellness programme.
“I believe the national initiative to introduce Mental Health First Aiders into the workplace is very important to wellbeing. I am looking forward to learning more about mental health and how I can help support and guide any colleagues who may be experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress.” Kate told us after her announcement.
Lizzie Nayman, Managing Director of emotive, said “We had many team members wanting to take part in this scheme and it was great to see such enthusiasm for supporting mental health. I’m confident that Kate will be able to further enhance what we do as a company and will be a great mental health first aider.”
