Further success for the ‘emotive. lab.’

As part of our ongoing partnership with Beaconsfield High School for Girls, emotive. sponsor the ‘emotive. lab’ in their new science building and have established ‘The emotive. Prize for Scientific Engagement’, to recognise an outstanding final year student as they transition to study a science or medical degree at university.

We’re delighted to hear that students achieved exceptional science exam results at both GCSE & A Levels this year, with Beaconsfield High School coming top in the county, and 24th out of all UK state secondary schools for its A-Levels this year, with 5 students achieving the grades to go on to study Medicine.

Other highlights in the student’s exam performance include:

  • 100% of pupils taking A-Level Physics obtained A*-C grades, with 91.2% and 88.5% making the same achievement in Chemistry and Biology respectively
  • 29 of 32 students who took the iGCSE Science course achieved three A* across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • At GCSE the most common grade achieved by pupils across all three sciences was an A*, with 100% of pupils that studied the iGCSE getting A* to A grades

Dr Gill Boucher, emotive.’s Medical Director commented, “We are thrilled to hear that this year’s exam students at Beaconsfield High School have achieved such a phenomenal set of results. There is clearly a strong passion for science at Beaconsfield High and we are truly delighted to work alongside them now, and into the future, supporting students to develop the next generation of scientists, researchers and medics and instil a passion for Scientific Engagement”.
